Although we are the "official" representatives of the State Society of Arizona, the No Talent AZ Clowns, league champions the last 2 seasons have several of our board members on their roster, and they defeated us in the championship game last year. We have many teams that we've developed friendly rivalries with over the years, but haven't been able to schedule many of them in the last couple seasons. Smell the Glove, the B-L-L-Unders, The Empty Pitchers, to name a few. The is also a team, the Beltway Ballers, formerly the Border Liners that seem to be the most disliked team in the league due to their overly serious and gun-ho approach to every game.
What's in a Name?:
According to Wikipedia, "Raising Arizona" is a 1987 Coen Brothers comedy film starring Nicolas Cage, Holly Hunter, William Forsythe, John Goodman, Frances McDormand and Randall "Tex" Cobb. Not a blockbuster at the time of its release, it has since achieved the status of a cult film. Typical Coen Brothers fare, the movie is replete with symbolism, visual gags, yodeling folk music, unconventional characters, flamboyant camera work, pathos and idiosyncratic dialogue. We thought it would be a cool name for our team.

About Our Team:
We were the number one ranked team for most of the season and the top seed going into the post-season tournament. This year, we are off to hot start again at 4-0.
