Deep in the Peruvian forests, The Dude found his captain, a 23-year-old fireballer, with a band of border ruffians at his disposal, just the right combination of young upstarts and one aging dude. The Balco Bombers are led by Teddy Schlanger, a newcomer to the D.C. softball scene, but just the right man to lead a talented stable of recent college grads, who look more ready to run a frat house than battle D.C.'s finest softball players. Make no mistake, though, these redhead roughnecks are ready to rumble their way into the upper echelon of Washington's softball teams, currently sitting second in the Congressional League and outscoring their opponents in their first seven games 156-29.
Watch out, D.C., there is a new group of ruffians in town.
